Regina Rosenthal, PT, MA, is a physical therapist, teacher, coach and writer. She received a Bachelor of Science in Education from Baruch College, City University of New York in 1965. Upon graduation she taught high school business education in the New York City school system for 4 years. Marriage, motherhood, and studying and teaching hatha yoga and meditation were the next stops on her life path. She returned to undergraduate school in her late thirties, receiving a Certificate in Physical Therapy from the University of Medicine and Dentistry, Newark, New Jersey, in 1983. In 1995 she was awarded a Master of Arts in Counselor Education from Kean University, Union, New Jersey. She designed and taught a “Chronic Pain Self-Help Course” as part of her Master’s Thesis, which she taught from 1994-1999 through her private practice.

Regina has worked in hospital, home care, and private practice settings. From 1987 to 1996 she was an instructor in the Facial Pain Clinic, Craniomandibular Disorders Program, at University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ. Here she established and taught a “Stress Management Program” for clinic patients for over three years. She has also taught for the Arthritis Foundation of New Jersey (Self-Help Class), and has facilitated workshops for: American Cancer Society; Lever Brothers; Visiting Nurse Association of Trenton, New Jersey; American Rheumatism Association; New Jersey and New York Dental Associations; New Jersey Counselors Association; American Physical Therapy Association of New Jersey; Rutgers University, New Jersey; Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, New Jersey; CentraState Medical Center, Freehold, New Jersey; A T & T; Baxter Health Care Corporation. In 2003 she began a sabbatical to complete the writing and publishing of The Heart of Healing. The book relates her personal and professional encounters within the healing process, along with those of clients and colleagues whom she interviewed with regards to their healing experiences.

Regina has taught Integrative Manual Therapy ™  to physical and occupational therapists, massage therapists, and bodyworkers in the United States and abroad. In 2004 she became a Certified Practitioner and Instructor of Process Acupressure, a hands-on whole person approach for furthering health, wellbeing, and soul-centered development. This process combines the use of acupressure, process work, and energetic pathways defined in ancient Chinese and Indian systems. 

Regina is a lover of learning and self-actualization, which has taken her to many classroom settings and mentors to learn various modalities including: Process Accupressure, Zero Balancing, sound healing, craniosacral therapy, visceral mobilization, myofascial release, Trager® Psychophysical Integration, Feldenkrais® Awareness Through Movement, lymphatic mobilization, neural tissue mobilization, and energetic healing. She is currently in a certification program for using therapeutic harp at the bedside.
